Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how FareGoal, LLC ("FareGoal," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you use the FareGoal website at faregoal.ai and our related applications, emails, alerts, and services (collectively, the "Service").
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account and waitlist information: your email address and, if provided, your name and password when you join the waitlist, request beta access, or create an account.
- Travel preferences: origin airports, destinations, travel dates, goal prices, interests, and trips or flights you mark as booked.
- Trip planning details: itineraries and budget entries you create (such as estimated costs for flights, lodging, activities, and food).
- Communications: messages you send us, such as support requests or feedback.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data: pages viewed, features used, watches created, alert interactions, and email engagement (such as whether an alert email was opened or a link was clicked).
- Device and log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, referring URLs, and timestamps.
- Cookies and similar technologies: as described in Section 5.
Information from other sources
- Fare data: flight prices and availability from third-party sources. This is data about airfares, not about you, but we associate it with your watches to power alerts and history.
We do not collect payment card information at this time. If we introduce paid features, payments will be handled by a payment processor and we will update this Policy.
2. How We Use Information
- Provide and operate the Service, including monitoring fares for your watches and sending you price alerts and weekly digests;
- Personalize the Service, such as suggesting realistic goal prices and relevant destinations;
- Manage waitlist and beta access;
- Respond to your questions and support requests;
- Understand how the Service is used so we can improve it, fix bugs, and develop new features;
- Protect the security and integrity of the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms & Conditions;
- Comply with legal obligations; and
- With your consent where required, send you product news and marketing emails (which you can opt out of at any time).
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party targeted advertising.
3. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA & UK)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data on these legal bases:
- Contract: to provide the Service you signed up for (accounts, watches, alerts, trip planning);
- Legitimate interests: to secure and improve the Service, prevent abuse, and communicate with you about the Service, where those interests are not overridden by your rights;
- Consent: for marketing emails and non-essential cookies, where required — you may withdraw consent at any time; and
- Legal obligation: where processing is necessary to comply with applicable law.
6. Email Communications
The Service is built around email: price alerts, goal-price digests, and account notices are core parts of how FareGoal works. You can manage or turn off alert and digest emails in your account settings or via the unsubscribe link in each email. Marketing emails are optional and every one includes an unsubscribe link. We may still send you essential service or account emails (for example, security notices) even if you opt out of marketing.
7. Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we need to retain it to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or maintain security logs. Fare history data that is not linked to you may be retained indefinitely.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we learn of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and regulators as required by law.
9. International Data Transfers
FareGoal is based in the United States, and your information is processed and stored in the United States and possibly other countries where our service providers operate. These countries may have data protection laws different from those in your country. Where we transfer personal data from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
10. Your Rights & Choices
Regardless of where you live, you can:
- Access and update your account information in your settings;
- Delete your watches, trips, or your entire account;
- Opt out of marketing emails via the unsubscribe link; and
- Contact us at privacy@faregoal.ai to exercise any of the rights described below.
We will verify your request (typically by confirming control of the email on the account) and respond within the time required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request where the law allows; we may ask the agent for proof of authorization.
11. EEA & UK Residents (GDPR)
If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you;
- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Erase your data ("right to be forgotten");

- Data portability — receive your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format;
